Your Privacy Matters

maiVitality is a wellbeing engagement service designed to help people stay connected, supported and engaged through regular conversations with Mai, a personal wellbeing companion.

At maiVitality, privacy, dignity and participant choice are fundamental to how we operate.

We are committed to handling personal information responsibly, collecting only what is reasonably necessary, protecting information with appropriate safeguards and providing transparency about how information is used.

We aim to support participant wellbeing while respecting privacy, autonomy and informed choice. [

Our Privacy Commitment

Morison AI is committed to protecting personal information and handling information in an open, transparent and responsible manner. Privacy is built into the way maiVitality is designed, delivered and improved.

We collect and use information only where reasonably necessary to provide wellbeing support, reminders, conversations, account administration, approved notifications and related services. We seek to minimise the amount of information collected and restrict access to authorised personnel and service providers who require access to perform legitimate functions.

We recognise that many participants may be older Australians, people living with disability, people receiving support services or individuals who value additional assistance in maintaining routines and social connection. We therefore place particular importance on participant dignity, autonomy, consent and information-sharing preferences.

Our goal is to balance participant wellbeing, safety and convenience with strong privacy protections, appropriate security controls and transparent communication about how personal information is handled.

Australian Privacy Law

Morison AI seeks to comply with Australia's privacy framework, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and the Notifiable Data Breaches Scheme where they apply.

These obligations govern how organisations collect, use, disclose, store, secure and destroy personal information. They also provide individuals with rights relating to access, correction, complaints and privacy management.

Because maiVitality may involve wellbeing, disability, support, medication and health-related information, some information we handle may be classified as sensitive information or health information under Australian law. Additional requirements may apply when collecting or using these types of information.

We also maintain governance processes designed to support security, transparency, accountability and responsible use of technology throughout the operation of the Service.

What Information We Collect

The information collected by maiVitality varies according to individual circumstances and the features being used.

Information may include identity and contact details, account information, communication preferences, accessibility requirements, reminder settings, wellbeing goals, support arrangements and information shared during interactions with the Service.

Where voluntarily provided, information may include disability information, health-related information, medication reminders, appointment details and wellbeing-related information. Some of this information may be classified as sensitive information or health information.

We may also collect operational information such as call dates, call duration, interaction records, service usage information, notifications, welfare escalation activity and customer support records.

When individuals use our websites or systems, technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, cookies, diagnostics and security monitoring information may also be collected to maintain service performance, security and reliability.

We apply a data minimisation approach and seek to collect only information reasonably necessary to provide and administer the Service.

How We Collect Information

Morison AI generally collects information directly from participants and account holders through registration, onboarding, telephone interactions, customer support processes, account administration and website forms.

In some circumstances, information may also be provided by authorised representatives, responsible persons, carers, family members, healthcare providers, program sponsors or service providers involved in supporting a participant.

Where information is collected from third parties, we may take reasonable steps to verify authority and ensure information is collected lawfully. Where appropriate, we seek to involve participants directly in decisions affecting their personal information.

Individuals who provide information about another person must have the authority or lawful basis to do so and must not prevent Morison AI from providing required notices or obtaining consent where necessary.

Why We Use Personal Information

Personal information is collected and used primarily to operate and deliver maiVitality.

This includes creating and managing accounts, scheduling and conducting interactions, personalising reminders and routines, delivering wellbeing support and facilitating participant-approved notifications and welfare escalation processes.

Information may also be used to manage subscriptions, process payments, provide customer support, maintain security controls, investigate incidents, comply with legal obligations and improve service quality.

Where appropriate, de-identified or aggregated information may be used for analytics, quality assurance, testing and service improvement.

Morison AI does not sell personal information. We also do not treat participant statements, acknowledgements or conversation outcomes as independently verified medical information unless explicitly verified through other authorised means.

Participant Choice and Consent

Participant choice is a core principle of the maiVitality service.

Participants are generally able to decide who receives notifications, summaries, reminders and welfare escalation communications, and what information may be shared with authorised people.

Morison AI may collect information about consent preferences, authority arrangements, notification settings and information-sharing instructions so that participant wishes can be respected and implemented.

Participants may request changes to privacy settings, contact arrangements, consent preferences and authorised sharing permissions. Optional consents may be withdrawn, although certain service features may be affected where consent is necessary to support those features.

Where lawful representatives or other authorised persons act on behalf of a participant, Morison AI may verify authority and seek to balance legal requirements with participant autonomy and informed choice wherever reasonably practicable.

Family Members, Carers and Authorised Contacts

Many participants choose to involve trusted people in their use of maiVitality.

These individuals may include family members, carers, authorised contacts, support workers, responsible persons or legally appointed representatives. Depending on participant preferences and lawful authority arrangements, these individuals may receive notifications, summaries, welfare escalations or other approved communications.

Morison AI may verify authority before sharing information and may limit information sharing where authority is unclear, disputed or cannot be verified.

Where reasonably practicable, participants remain involved in decisions affecting their personal information. The existence of a representative does not automatically prevent direct engagement with the participant.

Information sharing remains subject to participant preferences, legal requirements and privacy obligations.

AI and Voice Technology

maiVitality uses artificial intelligence, voice technology, telecommunications services, cloud infrastructure and workflow automation to support participant interactions.

These technologies help deliver conversations, reminders, summaries, notifications, call scheduling, personalisation and service administration. AI may also assist in the generation of transcripts, interaction summaries and wellbeing-related support content.

Although these technologies can improve consistency and efficiency, AI-generated outputs may contain inaccuracies, omissions or misunderstandings. For this reason, AI-generated information should not be regarded as professional medical, legal, financial or emergency advice.

Morison AI maintains governance, oversight, monitoring and review processes designed to promote responsible and transparent use of artificial intelligence. We do not use personal or sensitive information to train general-purpose AI models unless permitted by law and any required consent has been obtained.

AI is intended to support service delivery, not replace human judgement, healthcare providers, support services or emergency services.

Non-Clinical Service Boundary

maiVitality is designed as a voice-first wellbeing support service. Its purpose is to help participants stay engaged, maintain routines, receive reminders, enjoy companionship-style interactions and support participant-directed wellbeing goals.

maiVitality does not provide medical diagnosis, clinical treatment, emergency response, crisis intervention, continuous monitoring, professional healthcare services or medication management. It does not independently monitor a participant's environment, location, wellbeing or personal safety.

Notifications, reminders, summaries and welfare escalations are intended to support human decision-making and follow-up. They should not be interpreted as clinical assessments, medical advice or confirmation that an emergency exists.

Participants should maintain appropriate healthcare, emergency response and support arrangements independent of the Service and should contact emergency services directly in any urgent situation involving immediate risk to life, health or safety.

Depending on how the service is configured, Mai may contact you regularly to check in and maintain engagement.
